My Approach

"My goal is to offer people a path forward in yoga, fitness, and movement. My passion lies in seeing make a huge transformative leap in their lives through their yoga practice."

As a yoga teacher, I will make sure to keep the sequences innovative, stimulating, and challenging your body just enough. We will work on strength and flexibility equally, and emphasize how these practices are changing us from the inside out.

I use my knowledge of anatomy to help your posture and deepen into the pose. My goal is to have you leave the session feeling like you got a good workout, and yet very connected in body and spirit. Beginners, as well as experienced yogis alike, are all welcome!

About

From age 20-28 I lived in an intentional community based on yogic principles, and this gave me a strong foundation in the teachings of yoga - not just the physical practice (asana) but also the ethics and lifestyle practices. When I was 28, I developed sciatica in my left leg, and couldn't play sports anymore. After trying everything, I finally took a deep-dive into yoga from a postural correction angle, and this gave me the healing that I sorely needed. I was hooked!

I then trained with Pete Guinosso in 2016 in his 200-hour teacher training, which was nothing less than transformational. I also studied anatomy, dance, and movement therapy with the late Anna Halprin and her senior teachers Daria Halprin and Taira Restar. In addition, I am a somatic therapist and a masseur, and as such, am highly attuned to the body and its needs.

If you book multiple sessions with me there is a 10% discount.

I first like to get to know someone, what their specific goals are, and understand their relationship to yoga and fitness.

I had a leg injury and came to yoga as a mode of healing and rejuvenation.

Older guys as well as younger guys looking to learn yoga or deepen their practice.

What are your goals? What kind of routine are you looking to create?

Overall Rating

Peter is an excellent person and yoga teacher. He broke down the basics and showed me how to do a Sun Saluation, piece by piece. He stresses good alignment and breathing, and is very patient. Highly recommend!
